Play comes in all shapes and sizes. My shape is CSSA, that means “Comical Satirical Surrealistical play with a touch of Absurd”. Usually divided into what has come to be called 3-act structure:
- The first act is the Protasis/exposition
- The second act is the Epitasis/complication
- The final act is the Catastrophe/resolution
Haha, just trying to impress you. Sometimes I’m whole-heartedly destroying this structure and starting to write from the end.
“Plays are meant to be performed, not read,” – you’ll say. But before any play makes to the stage, it will have to survive a small army of readers. And you are my army …and I’m having fun! Hope you too!
A CSSA play involves lots of drama and sex-action, as its most pure action. Do not expect the text of Shakespeare, Ibsen, or Arthur Miller, but expect a bold, character-driven story with a weird erotical dialogues and a surprising bloody ending.
Enjoy the thrill of reading!
